The Communist Party of Kenya (CPK) is a Marxist Leninist political party, which is registered in accordance with the Constitution of Kenya and the laws thereof.
CPK is committed to the struggle of organising and mobilising Kenyan workers, peasants, and all popular formations and forces in the country to struggle for sustainable development, social justice, civic & political liberties, and human rights. The Party believes that all this will be realised through participatory democracy that provides alternative social, political, and economic policies away from capitalism and neo-colonialism and all systems of exploitation and oppression of person by person.
CPK fights for the interpretation and implementation of the Constitution of Kenya to reflect the wish and aspiration of the majority of Kenyans of transforming the country into a socialist state and society. The manifesto of CPK embodies socialist internationalism and the Kenyan national values and principles of governance articulated in article 10 of the Constitution, i.e.,“(a) patriotism, national unity, sharing and devolution of power, the rule of law, democracy and participation of the people; (b) human dignity, equity, social justice, inclusiveness, equality, human rights, non – discrimination, and protection of the marginalized; (c) good governance, integrity, transparency and accountability and (d) sustainable development”. CPK believes that the above noble values and principles of governance can only be realised under socialism that our party is inviting and mobilising Kenyans to struggle for.
CPK aims to achieve socialism and ultimately communism in Kenya, East Africa, Africa and the World.
Tunaamini umma. Umma ndiyo hufanya historia.
CPK Manifesto
“Step by step, along the struggle, by studying Marxism-Leninism parallel with participation in practical activities, I gradually came upon the fact that only socialism and communism can liberate the oppressed nations and the working people throughout the world from slavery.”
